Alisa Miller

Director de Participación Familiar
Start Date: May 2021

Alisa Miller partners with parents and families who are involved in Book Harvest programs and forms authentic and intentional connections and collaborations with them to help support their children’s journey as learners and readers. She listens deeply and amplifies the confidence and competence every parent feels so they can be their child’s most effective champion, and she creates opportunities for parents to gather together to cultivate their shared power and influence.

With more than a dozen years of direct experience working in early education settings, Alisa has demonstrated expertise in effective communication with children, families, teachers, and administrators, providing guidance, building relationships, and enhancing outcomes. She also has first-hand experience of Book Harvest's impact: her family was involved with the Book Babies literacy coaching progarm before she became an official member of the team.

Alisa has a BS in Child Development and Family Relations and a Masters in Human Development and Family Studies from North Carolina Central University.
