Vanessa Collier-Robinson

Vanessa Collier-Robinson brings a wealth of experience in education and social work to her role as Senior Manager of Book Babies at Book Harvest. She leads the literacy coaches of our Book Babies program, empowering her team through training, mentorship, and reflective supervision, and ensuring they have the tools and resources to effectively implement the home visiting curriculum. She also works directly with a number of families, and plays a key role in program evaluation, analyzing data to inform strategic improvements and ensure the program meets its benchmarks for family engagement and literacy development.

Vanessa’s dual background as an educator and licensed clinician provides a unique lens into the importance of attachment and connection in building strong, trusting relationships between families and the professionals who partner with them. She has a Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Masters Degree in Teaching from American University. She completed her undergraduate work at UNC Chapel Hill with a double major in Psychology and Romance Languages, with a focus on Spanish.
